But the rare chance that Hero is offstage and has less than 10 MP could end up costing him a stock. Now, usually this isn’t likely to happen, as Hero can literally fill the meter by damaging opponents, and the meter will literally fill in it’s own. But also, the fact it can run out can hurt Hero. Now, the MP System is not bad at all in any means, and the fact that it works like an actual RPG is really cool. The last thing I want to talk about is the MP meter. Now, while it makes sense logically, it also doesn’t make sense that Marth and Lucina pretty much have the same thing, but their’s actually has a decent hit box to the sides(except it doesn’t usually work for Marth unless he’s underneath them and gets a tipper). You can’t hit opponents with it if they’re standing right next to you, similar to Richter’s up-Smash. Hero’s up-Smash is solid, but that’s when it hits. Now, Hero’s smash attacks are all pretty solid, and that’s without the critical hit system. Now he’s not Saying Incineroar slow, but he could still pick up the pace. But the question is, what keeps Hero from one of the top tier characters, or that best character spot? Well, let’s open that menu and take a look, shall we?įirst and foremost, I want to talk about his speed. But when people say he’s the best character in the game(I’m looking at you, that’s where I’ll begin the debate. Some will say that Hero is a good character, and I won’t debate that.

His MP meter makes him very different from most characters, but not in a bad way.

Mainly, I want to focus on Goku with a sword, or as we all know him as, Hero.Īll jokes aside, Hero is honestly a solid character and incredibly fun to play. First, we got a JoJo’s character that’s not even a JoJo’s character, then we got Goku with a sword, a bear and bird that everyone wanted, SNK Ken( I’m joking about all of this, btw), and the anime character with four weapons that no one wanted. You know, Fighter Pass 1 gave us a lot of interesting characters.
